One year ago today Team StarKid presented A Very StarKid Event at LeakyCon 2011. To say it was a highlight for a lot of our conference-goers is like saying that Hufflepuffs are just okay at finding things.
At this LeakyCon, they are determined to outdo themselves. We are thrilled to tell you that Team StarKid will present a staged reading of A Very Potter 3D: A Very Potter Senior Year at LeakyCon 2012!
This is the first and only time to see this show and it will include nearly every person who has ever appeared in a StarKid production. The show will feature a book by Matt Lang, Nick Lang, and Brian Holden. The current list of StarKids involved in the production and confirmed to be in attendance includes:

LeakyCon will host this once-in-a-lifetime event and could not be more excited about it. Nor can the StarKids: Read what Brian Holden has to say about it:
“This year Team StarKid celebrated the third anniversary of the release of A Very Potter Musical. At LeakyCon, we’ll celebrate three years of being included in this spectacular fandom by presenting one of the most requested and most rumored about projects amongst our fans. LeakyCon 2012 will host the first and only presentation of A Very Potter 3D: A Very Potter Senior Year, the third installment of our ‘Very Potter’ parody play series. Although time and availability only allow us to do a staged reading, we hope this will be a truly unique performance for both Team StarKid and its fans! We’re treating it as something of a reunion, and with the help of LeakyCon we’ll be including nearly every StarKid actor we’ve ever worked with. We may even ask for fan contributions to the reading, making this a true celebration of everything that’s happened over the last three years. So come join us for AVP3D:AVPSY, and see what happens as Harry enters his senior year at Hogwarts, and struggles to find his purpose in a world that may not need him anymore. It’s going to be a once in a lifetime event presented in stunning 3D. We can’t wait to see you there!”
This event will be part of “A Very StarKid Event II,” and will take place from 12pm to 3pm on Saturday, August 11 (You can find a full updated version of the LeakyCon schedule here). Those with passes to LeakyCon but without a pass to AVSE(II) will be able to watch a live feed in a separate ballroom.
We know you have questions, and we will have more info in the coming days! Right now, we just want to say we are super psyched to have the honor of hosting this show! We also need to offer a big thanks from all of us at LeakyCon to Pat Brady and all the StarKids, who have worked so hard to make this a reality (and keep it a secret until now). It’s gonna be totally awesome!

From the creators of A Very Potter Musical comes a brand new parody… Holy Musical B@man! After witnessing the murder of his parents, a young billionaire makes a solemn vow to dress up like a bat and wage a one man war on crime! But when this solitary savior realizes that “one” is the loneliest number to wage a war with, he’ll set off on a musical adventure to rescue the city from the greatest super-villain of all time and find a super friend. So join us in celebrating/poking-fun-at everyone’s second favorite superhero (right after Spider-man)!
Holy Musical B@man! will be performed 4 times in Chicago at the Hoover-Leppen Theatre on March 22-24 for free. Tickets can be won through lottery at this link. The YouTube version of the show will be released in April. Cast list:
Ascendio 2012 has a lot of StarKid-related things going on at their conference this year from July 12-15 in Orlando! Britney Coleman, Tyler Brunsman, Matt Lang, Nick Lang, Devin Lytle, Joe Moses, Jim Povolo, Brian Rosenthal, Dylan Saunders, and Nick Strauss will all be attending the conference this year.
